Curacao has over 700 listed monumental buildings. At the end of 1997 the old historic town of Willemstad and the Curacao harbour have been added by UNESCO to the world heritage list. These historical buildings can be discovered during one of the guided tours through districts such as Otrabanda in Willemstad. Architect Anko van der Woude tells you everything about the history of the island and of the lives of the local population in the district. Art lovers combine a museum trip with a visit to the Cultural Cafe that takes place every third Thursday of the month at the Bloemhof Mansion. During the day you can visit the museum where local and international artists show their art and paintings.  In the evening on every third Thursday of the month you can enjoy the music or art of an invited artist.
